Bar/Club/Casino Simulator for PC

I'm looking for a game where I can run a Bar or Club, especially one where I can customize the decor. Failing that, I've also been looking for a decent casino simulation game. Bonus points if it has an organized crime element. EXTREME bonus points if you know a game that has all of this together.
As much as I would wish otherwise, nothing from The Sims has scratched this itch, so don't suggest that, unless you happen to know a high-quality mod.
Edit: To clarify I mean a game where you run a casino, not a simulation of going to a casino. I know there's a lot of those about but if I wanna do that I'll just boot up Fallout New Vegas

[TOMT] 1990s/2000s casino simulator computer game

Hello! I was born in 1999, and I remember having a computer in the house I lived in until I was 4 or 5. This computer has a virtual casino game on it, which I played a lot. My family doesn’t remember it, but I know it’s real. I don’t think it was a first person experience, I think it was a flat screen showing the whole layout of the casino. I know that it had a powerball/lottery game (which used a raffle drum), a slot machine, and horse racing. I think all of it was 2D animation. And I think the horses were designated by color, not name or anything. This has been driving me crazy for years, any leads are greatly appreciated!!

[pc][late90s] need help finding a Vegas casino simulator

Platform: PC - almost def Windows
Genre: Vegas casino simulator
Estimated Release: late 90s
Graphics: standard 90s windows graphics
Other details: you were a guy / gal who flew to Vegas, gambled in the casino, could go see a show, could even go to the pawn shop and sell your watch or plane ticket home maybe. Goal was to win enough to enter the WSOP
It has been killing me trying to think of the name and this is my last resort. Any help you may have would be appreciated!

Ultimate Team turned FIFA into a market/casino simulator

I play the mode every day and I love it BUT I now understand how the mode is the worst thing ever to happen from a player’s view
Simply what used to be about playing the game has turned into:
How much can you spend
Are you lucky enough to pack top players
Can you complete SBCs
Can you invest and trade?
So before a ball is kicked you have to tick at least a couple of these things
It’s great that there is so much to do, it just sucks how for the large part no one really knows how good they are.
As long as we don’t have access to the same players in a fair way (rather than random pack luck) then we will really never know.

We are pretty much playing a casino simulator at this point

Just unsubbed to wow for the first time since vanilla (family and friends pre-alpha in 2003 btw) because of this sickening RNG we’ve been experiencing lately.
How the FUCK am I suppose to save grizzly hills from the troll invaders to the north and the vrykul threat in the south with this 298 quest reward weapon?
I gave blizzard a week to fix this emissary inequality but I can’t be patient with them any longer, at this point I’m being limited PURELY because of RNG.
And all I have to say to Ian “it won’t matter later on” Huzikestros is that the most beautiful zone in the game (have you tried the inky black potion in this masterpiece?????) is under attack NOW not LATER.

Casino Simulator

I remember when I was younger I'd always play a Casino game on my grandparents computer. You could walk around and play games, and go to the bar and order different drinks. I think that would be a lot of fun to do in vr, especially with room scale!

Just took FAR, WHAT ARE THESE CASINO SIMULATIONS

Took FAR and went about how I expected but I got one of the casino simulations I've read about and had absolutely no clue what was going on. Why are these questions being put on the exam when no material that I am aware of is available to prepare us for it??

A question about a mistake made by a player at a casual "casino simulation" NLHE game

Poker isn't legal in the country where I live, but recently some arcades have set up tables with live dealers where people can come and play for fun. These games attract a few actual poker players and a lot of beginners, and the dealers tend to be among the beginners. There is no "pit" and no authority to appeal to. Usually when there's confusion or a dispute, the dealers and players who know nothing will accept whatever the veteran players say is right. Dealers give the pots to the wrong people, and we correct them. People call too much or too little and then take it back, and we let them. Usually it all works fine.
Yesterday, though, I disagreed with two other players about a situation that arose. None of the three people weighing in were actually in the hand. The situation was as follows.
Three active players after the flop: Player A, Player B, Player C.
Player A is first to act. He bets. Player B (shortest stack) raises all in. Player C calls, Player A calls.
Turn comes, Player A checks, Player C checks.
River comes, Player C apparently thinks Player A checked (they're on opposite ends of one side of the table with no line of sight) and puts his hand on the table, face up.
At this point, two guys who were not in the hand started saying that his hand was dead and that was a fold. Players A and C are both beginners and didn't know what to do one way or the other. Player A just opens, and C has the better hand. B mucks.
Now, we're not playing for money, there is no "pit" to call over, the games are full of beginners and mistakes are common, and Player C obviously didn't open out of turn on purpose. It was the first time he did this. I could see grounds for giving him a warning, but I did not agree with making him muck his hand.
The two players disagreeing with me were drunk and angry and would not hear any disagreement, and rather than argue Player C just let Player A take the pot. I dropped the issue, but I still feel it wasn't right. Acting out of turn wasn't intentional, there were only two live players, and it was obvious Player C had no intention of mucking.
What is the consensus on this?

the stash size is bumping against technical limitations...

I personally don't have a problem with the stash size (at least not at the moment) however this doesn't mean no one else does either, or that no one should have a problem. A "you're holding it wrong" approach to this problem first isn't user friendly and second isn't likely to be very effective, especially not if the game keeps expanding and adding more and more gear. We are where we are because of how this game is designed, not because people aren't following strict, unwritten rules about how to engage with their game.
If the problem can't be solved technically (optimization, improvements on the hw and sw fronts), it's time to start thinking laterally and instead reduce the need for more space. One way would be to remove some pieces and/or stats, for example all the trash that's in the game just to inflate the numbers. Simple to do but messy in outcome as what constitutes trash can be at least somewhat arbitrary, especially around the margins. A more realistic option with virtually no downsides is to start treating talents (ideally both on gear and weapons, or just one or the other if both is "too generous") as mods which could therefor be changed at will, just as simply as geaweapon mods. This immediately cuts down the number of needed pieces by a big chunk. No longer do you need multiple Providence vests with the same rolls, one with Focus, one with GC, one with Obliterate, one with Braced... Add all the interesting talent + brand combinations, add the same thing for weapons and you see how quickly the number balloons over this simple design choice. Another bonus of this change is being able to do build variations and proper build testing much more effectively which is what the game should imo more heavily focus on anyway (easy way to play with different variations, I don't expect everyone to be interested in testing of course), instead of being at bottom a disguised casino simulator.
I realize the devs and RNG masochists are likely to balk at this suggestion because it does in fact lower the RNG but if the game technically isn't able to support the current RNG, then something has to change. What I propose is a simple and effective change with more than one benefit. Consider also that we used to have a lot less brands, far less gearsets, exotics and weapons with presumably/potentially more stuff to come which all adds to the RNG. So is it better to limit what people can play with, what and how much will (not) be added to the game because the infrastructure isn't able to deal with it past a certain point, or is it better to do a small design tweak that helps in more than one way?

NHL2K — An unforgettable gem

I know there are lots of things to discuss related to NHL 21 as the full release is just around the corner, but I want to pose a question we have all asked ourselves in the dark age of copy-and-paste EANHL.
What would it take (financially) for 2K to make the risk of returning to the hockey scene? The common answer from pessimists is « it is too late, EA owns the industry, etc. » but we must take the interest and hype of such a major return into account.
Ask yourself: how excited would you be to learn of a NHL2K 22 leak? I would jump in excitement as I was a major fan of NHL2K. The detail, the care, the purity in making a game to be FUN, not a money grabber and near-casino simulator.
What can we do as a community? A petition? Boycotting? That is the real question. I hope I can spark a positive and thoughtful discussion on NHL2K and a possible return. Please leave your thoughts.

A rant on Myteam and its content creators

So, I've been thinking about letting my thoughts on the larger scale of Myteam content creators for awhile now and figured this is the place to do it.
Aside from the normal scandalous antics and conspiracy theories that hover overhead 2k/Ronnie/etc., I don't see enough in depth criticism aimed at Myteam creators who are just as big a part of the problem as anyone actually in charge of any part of the game, it's creation, or it's continued development throughout the year one span of each new installment of the series.
It's really pretty simple, but again, never explored. People complain all the time about 2K being predatory with an E rated game whose intention is to make the most money off of microtransactions as possible, but 2k isn't the only morally bankrupt or artistically lame party at fault, are they? Surely some of the blame belongs to the "content creators" who overexaggerate the "content" of each upload with capslock titles and clickbait thumbnails, not that clickbaiting and embelishing the truth on Youtube are tactics unique to 2k Youtubers, but it goes just a little deeper.
2K knows that its base is full of underage players/fans as do those who make videos that rack up thousands and thousands of views. Those who have the larger channels obviously set the bar and standard for format practices within the niche that is NBA 2K on youtube.
Let's talk about the quality or lackthereof with Myteam content. I'll start with perhaps the most shining example of those who produce non-content and perpetuate the culture of a casino for teenaged players (or at least one who sticks out in my mind as the most formulaic in their creation), people like Carlos.
Capslock titles? Check. Clickbait titles? Check. A script like style boiled down to a science complete with repetitive editing, seemingly insincere and also repetitive facial expressions/reactions, and a constant twist to make sure that no response to poor odds in a particular video is particularly negative against 2k, at least not explicitly so? Check. Buzz words like "MULTIPLE" to more or less fluff expectations ahead of time? Check.
This last point is important too as it may seem like a small detail, but really is also very practiced in what it's doing. For those who haven't seen Carlos or channels like his, "MULTIPLE" is nearly universal for "two". Yes, technically two is multiple, but you can't tell me that this is not done to pull a viewer in with the expectation that what is happening on screen is this incredible thing. (Despite hundreds of real dollars poured into packs for videos where a guy plays the role of hypebeast, says nothing of substance, tries to convince you that the casino simulator they're helping grow is something profound.) Above "MULTIPLE" is "SO MANY". So many is almost always 3. The difference? Off screen transitions, more real money transactions, and a cheap cut at the end of the video to hit you with the zinger of "BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE".
Going back, I want to address the science of Myteam content creators further. Again, Youtube is full of clickbait titles and thumbnails, this is not unique to 2k, but what I do find sort of unique is the bit by bit overscripting that is meant to make what's happening seem healthy and hip to do (I'll keep saying it, this is predatory to children). Videos made by these type of creators open with a loud "Yoooo!" and a Jojo Siwa-esque fast spoken intro. They set the table with a head tilt, an emotive action, a crazy face, and showing you what packs just dropped and quickly covering who's in them. This is generally filler nonsense that occupies the first couple minutes before they breeze over to opening the packs. General commentary is very little until the royalty free music picks up letting you know that they're about to pull a high tier card. This is where they act shocked, amazed, and hit you up with a signature "Let's goooo!", because you, are presumably a child who is impressionable and get excited when other people get excited, unaware that what's being peddled to you is full fledged gambling.
That's the video. Every time. Open packs, hypebeast the whole time and spin the experience as positive and exciting rather than potentially dangerous and crippling to impressionable viewers and move on. Other videos used to break up the monotany of pack opening videos are generally showing you things like how much MT they spent to rebuild their own "GAWD SQUAD" and chopping up any actual gameplay into microscopic portions in comparison to the actual length of a game of 2k.
This continues, because 2K loves money and desperate/shamless content creators love money and they are in bed with each other. Microtransaction culture continues, because this is one of the biggest developers from a financial standpoint who does not care who they're preying on at the end of the day. I listed Carlos, but he's not even the biggest channel doing this, just a big example that stuck out in my mind. More and more channels pop up trying to emulate the same shady practices and buzzword vomit, because they are both roped in by the hypebeasting and the potential lucrative benefits that come with it. It's a vicious, vicious cycle and the comments sections reflect that.
Don't really know where to end this, but thanks for listening to my Ted Talk. Feel free to also rant down below.

FFBE YouTube channel manager forgot to turn off rating and this happened

imgur capture
So this image of War of the Visions collaboration with Final Fantasy Tactics announcement is captured 20 minutes after the video went live, and just after I captured it, the WotV staffer seemed to realize how poorly the fans reacted and decided to immediately disable the like/dislike option of this video.
Let's make it straight, I am a diehard fan of the original FFT, but I have absolutely no interest of investing any time in any gacha game. The money you need to pour in order to gamble the rare reward you actually want is monetarily unjustifiable. I admire WotV's efforts in bringing Yoshida's original designs to life and the skill effects faithful to the original, I am just sad that it has to be in the form of a gacha (aka casino simulator) game.
